| Summary: | This paper aims to elaborate a preliminary idea about the construction of the image of the Jesuit Roque Gonzáles de Santa Cruz, based on the writings of other Ignatians who have studied his history (such as Jaeger and Teschauer). The methodology used is the bibliographic review, and has the support of other scholars who worked on the theme, such as Paulo Rogério de Oliveira.
