Description
Summary:This article aims to think the body as a space of resistance based on the formulations provided by Michel Foucault in relation to what he calls an “ontology of the present”. The genealogical criticism carried out by the author opens ways for us to think about new forms of subjectivity, establishing movements of transgression in relation to the normative practices of Western society and its Christian imaginary and rationality. In this sense, feminist criticism meets Foucault's thought to problematize the capture of bodies and eroticism, especially in the field of literary imagination. Thus, we seek to analyze the writing of some female Brazilian writers, in order to understand how they promoted and promote destabilization of the stigmatizing categories on corporeity, enabling practices of freedom and other modes of subjectivation that produce new social imaginaries.
