Descripción
Sumario:The city of Catanduva is located in the central-north region of São Paulo on Cretaceous sedimentary deposits of the Bauru Group. The detailed hydrogeological study contracted by the municipal sanitation concessionaire SAEC – Superin-tendency of Water and Sewage of Catanduva evaluated data from 69 tubular wells that capture the Bauru/Serra Geral Aquifer System, this article presents the diagnosis of changes in the nitrate content in the water of these wells, based on complete physical-chemical analyzes of the water from 21 wells in which optical and gamma ray profiles were carried out, which indicated a probable origin of the nitrate due to deficient sanitary protection.
