Descripción
Sumario:The present paper aims to present aspects extracted from the book “Gender and Women in Sport: Women’s History in Modern Olympics Sports” by Fabiano Pries Devide. Talking to different theoretical perspectives, the author shows women’s path in revenue sport emphasizing fights and conflicts within an essentially male environment. His text is all about an invitation for the professionals of this area to dedicate efforts on its investigation. In this sense, is necessary to emphasize that the gender studies based on a poststructural perspective, they intend to denaturalize conceptions besides staining boundaries between male and female on singular, underlining men and women formation, plural femininities and manliness, temporary and changeable, even in sporting field.
