| Resumo: | In this research, we sought to present data on hate crimes in the state of Goiás for the years 2017 to 2022. Initially, the difficulties identified to produce data on these crimes were discussed. Then, the local context of the state was presented and the relevant categories for research were delimited, namely, race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, and gender identity. These were selected based on Ordinance No. 323 of the Civil Police of the State of Goiás, which established the competences of the Specialized Group in Assistance to Victims of Racial Crimes and Intolerance - GEACRI - for the investigation and repression of crimes motivated by racism, xenophobia, LGBTphobia and religious intolerance. Finally, the data obtained were presented, in an analysis that demonstrated the importance of this public security action to better visualize victimization by hate crimes in the state. |
