| Resumo: | The Cold War brought impasses not only in the fi eld of international politics, but also aff ected religious movements. To understand this process of refraction and recomposition of global polarization, we analyze in this article the work of a Belgian missionary who lived predominantly in Brazil, but spent moments and taught courses in several Latin American countries: José Comblin. His book Th eology of Revolution summarizes a series of global debates that took place in the ecclesiastical world and also in the geopolitical struggles of the 1960’s. |
