Descripción
Sumario:Objective: to analyze the attendances related to suicide attempts in a mobile emergency care service and the associated factors. Methods: Retrospective study, based on data extracted from handwritten notification forms, provided by a mobile emergency service. They analyzed the following variables: sociodemographic and epidemiological data of the patients; data on the type of transport intended for the service; the referral service to which the patient was referred; and procedures performed. Results: 203 intercurrence records were analyzed. There was a predominance of female patients (55.2%) with an average age of 29 years. The method used was intoxication/poisoning (68.5%). Among the traumatic injuries, hematoma stood out (19.7%). The transport used was the Basic Support Unit I (36.5%). Conclusion: Early recognition of cases of attempted suicide by the health team is necessary in order to enable better ways of acting during care, as well as the development of discussions on the subject.
