| Sumario: | On the present academic paper, the author provides an overview concerning theinternationality. In addition to the classical elements, the contemporaneity fosters a new proposalfor the classification of international contracts. The proper and independent ruling by the lexmercatoria assesses a concrete international character. As a result, the judge must take intoconsideration the principles and the interpretation construed by the lex mercatoria, wheneveranalyzing an international contract. Such may vary, not being always in harmony with the generalguidance prescribed by the national laws.
