Descripción
Sumario:The present study presents a reflection on the teaching practice in mathematics education for young people and adults, highlighting creative insubordination as a possibility to promote a critical and humanizing mathematics education. Through the observation and analysis of teaching and learning situations of mathematics in a group of Youth and Adult Education (EJA), reflections were made on the consequences of a teacher's choices on students' understanding and learning of mathematics. In the end, considerations were made about the role that mathematics education can play in the critical formation of EJA students and critical insubordination as a means to do so. As a result, the role of Creative Insubordination was emphasized in the critical formation of the subject of education for young people and adults and, for this to occur, the need to re-signify the education of the educator himself was highlighted.
