Descripción
Sumario:The study aims to analyze the continuous training of teachers as an object of research in theses and dissertations in scientific production in the Brazilian Amazon in the period from 2010 to 2020. For this, the state of knowledge will be used as a methodology in order to elucidate the challenges in research faced in this field.  Among this challenges, we can highlight the need to deal with ethnic diversity present in the region, considering cultural, socioeconomic and geographic differences, in addition to the territorial extension of the Amazon, which represents an obstacle to the comprehensive and continuous implementation of continuing education offers. This reflection made it possible to point out recommendations and indications for improvements and crafting of public policies at different government levels. From the research we conclude that these policies must be inclusive, contextualized and must take into account effective strategies to achieve broad territorial coverage.
