Sumario:Popular Cooperatives are usually formed through a methodology and educational process called "incubation". The process of incubation is performed by the Technological Incubator of Popular Cooperatives, which forms a national network organized by regions. The cooperatives comparatively analyzed in this study are located in the southeastern region and were incubated by two incubators from two different federal universities, in different eras, for different periods of duration. In this context, this study aims to examine the type of management that the cooperatives formed in the context of Economic Solidarity are structuring, as well as to identify and examine their organizational setup. Moreover, in this study, it was sought to understanding how the management of popular cooperatives assumes the principles of economic solidarity, as well as identifying and analyzing the limits and possibilities of organization and management of the cooperatives under study. Thus, three cooperatives were surveyed, which underwent the process of incubation of two ITCPs of Minas Gerais. This research is the qualitative type, so the method for collecting information was based on literature research, on secondary data, on the Focal Group method and on semi-structured interviews. The results show that the popular cooperatives studied present a mixed or "hybrid" model of management, based on self-management and conventional characteristics. The management of these cooperatives is based on consensus and on negotiation, showing characteristics of inter-dependence and relative autonomy. The management of these cooperatives was analyzed comparatively based on the characteristics of the models of self management, conventional management and social management.
