Sumario:To characterize macronutrient deficiencies in seedlings of  moringa (Moringa oleifera), an experiment was carried out under greenhouse conditions, during 30 days, using plants of moringa, grown in pots containing river sand as substrate and the following nutrient solutions: -N, -P, -K, -Ca, -Mg, -S and complete. The symptoms deficiencies had started to appear 15 days after omission of nutrients. Except for the –S treatment, all the other treatments showed nutritional deficiency symptoms. The N, P, K, Ca and Mg deficiency symptoms observed were similar to the described ones in literature for other vegetal species. The omission of N was the treatment which most affected the dry matter yield, followed by P, Mg and S. The omission of K and Ca did not affect the dry matter yield.
