| Sumario: | As an internet phenomenon, memes can be presented as a set of texts, of repeated behaviors among users, a series of playful challenges, audios, videos or shared images. This article aims to reflect on some of the challenges and draw attention to how the museological universe can prepare to host these internet memes. Based on the experience of #MEMEmuseum, and comparing the discussion with other similar initiatives, this essay seeks to discuss aspects concerning the theoretical and methodological delimitation of these digital objects, the conditions of their preservation and ways of availability and access to the public. |
