Descripción
Sumario:The objective of this work was to understand the appropriation of Paulo Freire's theoretical framework in master's dissertations and doctoral theses on school physical education and what are the possible contributions to teacher training. The present study is characterized as a qualitative research of educational literature review, being considered of the integrative type. In order to reach the objective of this research, we classified the appropriation that the researchers of the 30 analyzed works carried out in relation to Paulo Freire's theoretical framework in the aforementioned theses and dissertations. We conclude that Paulo Freire's legacy is used in different stricto sensu graduate programs, whether in Education or Physical Education, receiving different forms of appropriation. Because of this, its reference proved to be relevant and current in the execution and completion of the 30 works, but still little used until 2018 in research in the area of Physical Education. We therefore address the need for new integrative or systematic research from the year 2019 onwards, with the intention of finding out if there was an increase in stricto sensu academic works in the field of Physical Education, using Paulo Freire's theoretical framework.
