| Sumario: | Scientific dissemination has been questioned in its methods from the open science movement, which claims a more collaborative and democratic path in scientific work. In this scenario, we approach the values of open science and how it impacts scientific dissemination. To reflect on the practice, we present a case study of two events of the Grupo Texto Livre. Some research findings show that, since 2007, when open science discussions, at least at the national level, had not yet gained attention, activities at the group’s events already placed free culture and issues relevant to the upcoming movement on the agenda. currently consolidating, namely: open and free access to information; open source and documentation in the development and use of free software; the adoption of open technical formats as a way to preserve and contribute to the reuse of resources and the critical view regarding the presence of private organizations in the public sector. |
