Descripción
Sumario:This article aims at analyzing, following the view of the Event Semantics, proposed by Eduardo Guimarães (2005), how the designations given to places of prostitution occur. These designations predicate the image of woman/prostitute. For the analysis, we use as data: police records of the 60s and 70s held in the city of Cáceres-MT. In this space of enunciation, we analyze how the constitution of the meanings of "vulgos" - "professional names" - of these women occur, names by which they are identified in meretricious places. Thus, we intend to understand how the dual legal identity of these women develops in different spaces of enunciation.KEYWORDS: Event Semantics; Designation; Prostitute.
