Sumario:Pain during sexual intercourse can be characterized as Genito-Pelvic Pain/Penetration Disorder, and has elevated prevalence among women. It may have both organic and psychological causes, and for that reason should be approached by a multidisciplinary team involving medical doctors, psychologists and physical therapists. This paper aims to create a protocol for the diagnosis and treatment of this disorder.
