| Sumario: | This article deals with The Arcades Project, aiming the textual and socio-historical analysis of its construction. In addition to the text of The Arcades Project and their author, dialogues with authors such as Willi Bolle, organizer of the brazilian edition; Rolf Tiedemann, organizer of the german edition; Pierre Levy on the concept of hypertext; the philosopher Olgária Matos; the scholar Stephen Schwartz; and David Mauas, director of an investigative documentary about Walter Benjamin. The methodology used made it possible to revisit the historical and cultural trajectory of the constitution and transformation of the The Arcades Project, including using the author's correspondence, in addition to revisiting the analyzes made by the organizers of the German and Brazilian editions.
