| Sumario: | This research aims to investigate the relation between Modernity and Holocaust starting from of the contributions of Bauman, having as conducting wire of its reflections the idea which the Holocaust meant the apogee and the failure of the modern rationality. At the heart of this rationality lies the depolitization, demoralization and the dejurisdicization of individual. As consequence, occur the strengthening of the technocracy and the bureaucratic restriction of life, consolidating thus the ideal of the Gardener State which consists in to separate the wheat from the tare, even if this cleanness be executed from the practices of extermination. |
