Descripción
Sumario:The aim of this article is to establish the relationships between Environmental History and its dynamics with the Capitalocene and Anthropocene, and also highlight its importance for the analysis of current environmental issues. The environmental issue has been revisited based on concepts such as Capitalocene and Anthropocene. We believe that a comparative analysis of these concepts through the perspective of environmental history can contribute to give a more integrative view of the relations between society and nature. This study in based on an integrative literature review published between 2016 and 2021, which addressed themes and analyses directly related to the field of environmental history as well as concepts of Capitaloceno and Anthopocene. The results demonstrate that the field of Environmental History has been growing along with the work on the diverse views of the Anthropocene. On the other hand, there is a shortage of works in the Capitalocene area. We concluded that Environmental History with its long-term analyses constitutes a field of knowledge that has specific contributions to critical reflections and to the politicization of the environmental issue. This research contributes not only to the construction of elements for a critical analysis of the concept of Anthropocene from environmental history, but also to strengthen discussions about the differences, forces and forms of relationship between societies and nature, which were brought by the Capitalocene.
