Sumario:We approach the speech about the Homeland in the newspaper O Cerro Largo   in the military dictatorship. Anchored in Discourse Analysis, we observe how the discourse about Homeland is in the newspaper, producing meanings, supported by the discourse of, which memory and the present permeate the speeches, the “commemorations” of 09/07, marked by the “heroic and resounding shout” of Ipiranga, producing a “late effect of speech founder”.
