Descripción
Sumario:In the face of the current socio-cultural transition and contemporary modernization, the strengthening of the feminist class and feminist movements have emerged, influencing the creation of Public Policies that meet the needs of women in their various aspects, highlighting gaps in health care for homosexual women. The objective of the present study is to analyze the barriers of nursing care to homosexual women. Integrative review of the literature carried out in the SciELO, LILACS and MEDLINE databases, using the descriptors: Nursing, Lesbian Women, Nursing Assistance and Feminine Homosexuality for articles published between 2009-2019. At the end of the research, 14 articles composed the sample. After analysis of the studies, four categories of obstacles were identified: Aspects related to care and attachment; lack of demand for homosexual women; Influence of the cultural aspects in the professional / user binomial and the discriminatory aspects in the assistance to the homosexual user. It is noted that homosexual women feel uncomfortable in providing care, given the professional unpreparedness in attending this public, which often suppresses their real health needs. Thus, it is necessary to reflect more deeply on the part of professionals involved in the provision of nursing assistance to homosexual women to achieve the guarantee of integral and quality assistance to the sexual and reproductive health of these women, deconstructing ideologies and eliminating prejudices that prevent these women from being understood.
