| Summary: | Censorship of press freedom in Mozambique has been a growing problem where, in the last six years, more than one hundred journalists have been attacked, threatened, subpoenaed, criminalized, and their work instruments stolen or silenced. This article critically analyzes censorship in the country, questioning the main figures who led to the repression of the press, the social, political, and economic implications of this censorship, and how journalists have positioned themselves in the face of pressure.
