| Resumo: | This essay aims to correlate the warburguian montage in Jean-Luc Godard’s The old place with the concept of epicycloid developed by Araripe Júnior as a reference to the movement of cultural transformation: if, in Mnemosyne, Warburg discovers new meanings to images through their transpositions and recombinations, one can see this process as the methodology chosen by Godard to analyze the arts in his documentary, as well as an argument for Araripe Júnior to affirm his critic of monroism. |
