The main objective of this article is to analyze the relationship between the production and dissemination of fake news in the pandemic and its relationship with the territorial features of Latin America. "Fake news" is information that is deliberately fabricated, distorted or misleading with the intention of being presented as true or questioning facts on some topic, and can appear in different forms, including news articles, videos, images, posts on social networks and other media. With regard to Latin American countries, the phenomenon of the international reach of these fakenews can be observed. Territoriality plays a role in shaping the identity of the specificities of the ways of life of the individuals or groups that live there, with factors being directly impacted, as was the case with the Covid-19 pandemic. It is therefore hoped that this study will contribute to the debate involving both the disease caused by the Sars-Cov-2 virus and, above all, the direct relationship between the production and dissemination of fake news during the pandemic period in Latin America. |

As "fake news", são informações que são deliberadamente fabricadas, distorcidas ou enganosas com a intencionalidade de serem apresentadas como fatos verdadeiros ou de questionamento sobre algum tema, podendo aparecer em diferentes formas, incluindo artigos de notícias, vídeos, imagens, posts em redes sociais e outros meios de comunicação. No que tange aos países latino-americanos, observa-se o fenômeno de alcance internacional destas fake news a territorialidade possui um papel na formação da identidade das especificidades dos modos de vida dos indivíduos ou de um grupo que ali habitam, sendo impactados diretamente fatores como foi o caso da pandemia de Covid 19. Espera-se, portanto, que este estudo contribua com o debate envolvendo tanto a enfermidade causada pelo vírus Sars-Cov-2 como, principalmente, a relação direta entre a produção e difusão de fake news durante o período pandêmico no recorte específico da América Latina. El objetivo principal de este artículo es analizar la relación entre la producción y difusión de fake news en la pandemia y su relación con las características territoriales de América Latina. "Fake news" es información que es deliberadamente fabricada, distorsionada o engañosa con la intención de ser presentada como verdadera o cuestionando hechos sobre algún tema, y puede aparecer en diferentes formas, incluyendo artículos de noticias, videos, imágenes, posts en redes sociales y otros medios. En lo que respecta a los países latinoamericanos, se observa el fenómeno del alcance internacional de estas fakenews. La territorialidad juega un papel importante en la conformación de la identidad y las especificidades de las formas de vida de los individuos o grupos que allí habitan, las cuales se ven directamente impactadas por factores como la pandemia del Covid-19.
