Not only that: as Aristotle already said, he is the only being who laughs. In other words: somehow the smile makes him unique, distinguishing him from animals. Taking this singularity into consideration, we intend to reflect on whether smiles, in some way, are in line with the ontological condition of the human being.O fenômeno do sorriso é o tema central desse texto. Não obstante os riscos e dificuldades inerentes a um tema pouco abordado por Heidegger e, também, pela literatura secundária, partimos de um pressuposto que se apresenta como fato incontornável: o sorriso é uma das faculdades do ser humano. Não só isto: consoante Aristóteles já o dizia, ele é o único ente que ri. Ou seja: de algum modo o sorriso o singulariza, distinguindo-o dos animais.
