| Sumario: | The aim of this article is to elucidate the participation of Leolinda Figueiredo Daltro in the struggle for women’s suffrage in Brazil, in order to highlight her importance to the first phase of the Suffrage Movement. Thanks to Daltro’s central action in the first decades of the twentieth century, the issue of women’s political emancipation returned to be a debated topic in the society at that time. Therefore the central aim of this text is to understand one of the main characters/actors who took part in the struggle for women’s suffrage in Brazil. |
