| Sumario: | In this paper, we intend to analyze how the Portuguese language textbooks of the 8th year of Basic Education (EB) have approached the orality teaching. The theoretical assumptions are based on Antunes (2003), Cardoso (1999), Favero (2003), Marcuschi (1997(2003), Pretti (1999), Ramos (1997) and Rojo (2000, 2003). Three Basic education textbooks that were used in 2012 by municipal public schools in Teresina were analyzed,. The results point to the existence of an effort by the textbooks authors to teach orality, although they are not sufficient to account for the complexity of this language type. |
