| Sumario: | This article analyzes a platform-mediated controversy involving the social media platform LinkedIn based on a case study that came to public attention in March 2022 when the platform rejected an affirmative job posting targeted towards Black and Indigenous individuals. The methodology employs the analytical approach of “disassembling” the platform, combined with the capture of digital traces that enable the investigation to reveal that, even though LinkedIn had updated its policies to allow affirmative job postings, the platform had been acting as a raciality device, contributing to the perpetuation of racist practices in the context of the job market. |
