| Sumario: | The study of the Cartesian plane is present in the curricular skills of the National Common Curricular Base – BNCC since the 5th year of Elementary School, being resumed each year with new possibilities and approaches, and recommended the use of digital technologies for its development. In this context, this research aims to analyze the learning of concepts about the Cartesian plane such as: the representation of points, figures, lines, symmetries and works of art, by students of the final years of Elementary School, having as theoretical reference the learning based on the spiral curriculum of Jerome Bruner. The study was developed with 26 students of the 9th grade of Elementary School of a municipal School in Teutônia / RS, through a didactic sequence composed of activities to be solved with pencil and paper and using the GrafEq software. Initially, a bibliographical research was carried out to identify how the Cartesian plane is approached at BNCC in the Final Years of Elementary School, based on the Jerome Bruner spiral curriculum and how the theme appears in national and state learning assessments such as Prova Brasil. The collected data were analyzed in a qualitative perspective based on the resolutions of the activities by the students during math classes, being the final activity to reproduce the replica of a work of art by the artist Rubem Valentim. The results showed the relevance of the theme; and the way the contents are arranged in the BNCC, combined with the technological resource such as the GrafEq software, contributed to spiral learning, enabling the understanding and development of the skills proposed in the BNCC. |
