| Sumario: | We analyzed the formative nature of La razón de mi vida, by Eva Perón (1919-1952), published in Buenos Aires in 1951. The methodological aspect of the research was based on references from the History of Education. The text deals with Eva Perón's political activities and the rise of her husband, Juan Domingo Perón (1895-1974, president of Argentina from 1946 to 1955 and again between 1973 and 1974), in national politics. The period was marked by the political reorganization of Argentinians in the face of decades of crisis resulting from the 1929 Crisis. By responding to the population's desires, Juan Domingo Perón established himself as a leading figure by dialoguing with the trade union movement and setting a strong nationalist discourse. And, in this scenario, Eva Perón stood out for acting as a bridge of dialog between the president and the population. She also played an important role in winning the right to vote for women, defending social justice, and strengthening social policies. Her autobiography, La razón de mi vida, contributed to the dissemination of Peronist values and has a strong educational character since its language is accessible. The book was disseminated in Argentinian schools as political propaganda. It is possible to say that the book is an important source of studies for the field of History of Education, as it makes it possible to analyze in a broader way the strategies for disseminating and training Peronist cadres in the mid-20th century. |
