Descripción
Sumario:This article aims to study part of the collection that constitutes the Rui Barbosa Historic House Museum, specifically those related to the death of Rui Barbosa and later the mourning of his wife, Maria Augusta Rui Barbosa. It is a long stage of bibliographical and documentary consultation, undertaken by conservators-restorers with a passion for research since 2020, in cooperation with the conservation and the museology nucleus of the Rui Barbosa Historic House Museum. The investigations into Maria Augusta Rui Barbosa, through a considerable number of objects almost camouflaged amidst her husband’s material culture in the collection of her house-museum, have proven to be relevant and powerful for the construction of more plural narratives, by enabling bring to the scene characters that were previously invisible.
