Multiband and Mass-Anisotropy Effects in the Magnetoconductivity of a Disordered Electron Gas

We investigate the magnetoconductance of a two-band electron system and a model with effectivemass anisotropy by means of the method based on the exact electron eigenstates in a magnetic field proposed formerly by us to study a single-band, isotropic system. We show the universality of the results,...

Descripción
Sumario:We investigate the magnetoconductance of a two-band electron system and a model with effectivemass anisotropy by means of the method based on the exact electron eigenstates in a magnetic field proposed formerly by us to study a single-band, isotropic system. We show the universality of the results, the details of the model being absorbed in properly defined effective diffusion constants, cyclotron frequencies, and lifetimes.
