Descripción
Sumario:This study reports interrelationships between the teaching experience in the COVID-19 pandemic and the emotions of a language teacher based on Applied Linguistics studies. The research methodology is qualitative, based on narrative inquiry and content analysis. Results indicate emotions of sadness and frustration regarding the lack of institutional support, the overload of activities with digital technologies, and the lack of social recognition for the work performed. The sudden changes in the teacher's life indicate to us greater uneasiness at work. We argue in favor of the role of reflection on emotions in language teacher education as an aid in dealing with a scenario of a profession immersed in a social life in crisis. The study reiterates the need to insert digital technologies and reflection about emotions in language teacher education.
