| Sumario: | The dynamics of coastal zones have peculiar aspects and therefore the responsible bodies foresee the use and occupation of these areas supported by the National Environmental Policy, in force since 1981. The municipality of Campos dos Goytacazes stands out in the state of Rio de Janeiro for seek measures through Projeto Orla to manage and order the 28km of its coastline. Therefore, the present work aims to produce a socio-environmental diagnosis of the current state of conservation of the shore through geoindicators and environmental quality parameters. For this, primary data were collected at ten stations along the coastline, supported by secondary data from the state environmental institute (INEA) and the Ministry of the Environment (MMA). In addition, an evaluation protocol is proposed based on the methodology of diagnosis of the Coastline adapted and by the parameters of environmental quality proposed by the MMA, aiming to establish a periodic tool for analysis of the coastline. The results point to a coast with low vulnerability, however, urbanized stretches and with the occurrence of erosive processes, deserve attention in view of the risks to the deterioration of environmental quality. |
