Sumario:The Constitution of Brazil establishes direct democracy, allowing for the expression of popular sovereignty beyond voting, through plebiscites, referendums, and popular initiatives. These tools expand citizen participation and influence in political decisions, considered essential for revitalizing democracy and combating distrust in institutions. One of the most innovative mechanisms is the recall, which enables voters to remove politicians, reinforcing accountability and responsiveness to popular expectations. This article explores the introduction of recall into the Brazilian legal system, analyzing the political, social, and legal dynamics involved. Through document analysis and literature review, it seeks to understand the challenges and potential contributions of recall to a more engaged and participatory democracy in Brazil.
