| Sumario: | Charles Baudelaire Romanticism defines the term as synonymous with authentic modern life. It is up to the artists, according to the poet, the challenge of extracting the eternity of the present time. For Baudelaire, work the concept of modernity is the same as examining two facets of the same reality. On one hand, modernity outlines the fleeting, the transitory, the contingent; on the other side lies the eternal, unchanging. It is for the modern hero a search for meaning of life in the face of social changes brought about by the detrimental effects of modernity. Thus, this paper aims to study about the personifications of modern hero proposed by Baudelaire. Situated in the immensity of the metropolis and as a participant in a game of masks, Baudelaire's hero is the picture of effervescence brought by progress, one that fixed residence in the crowd. Among the personalities Hero Baudelaire, we highlight the Flâneur, who wanders around town hunting for inspiration and Dandi, characterized by assuming an aestheticized life. With text analysis Crowds, we seek to better understand his new perspective of hero figure, set amidst the whirlwind of contradictions brought by modernity. |
