Descrição
Resumo:Guillaume Apollinaire (1880-1918), published in 1918 L'Esprit nouveau et les poètes, a kind of artistic-literary manifesto. Several characteristics and proposals contained in Apollinaire's manifesto are present in the ideas of our first modernists, especially in Graça Aranha and Mário de Andrade. What is intended here is to show points of contact between the conference "O Espírito Moderno", by Graça Aranha, presented on 19/06/1924, at the Brazilian Academy of Letters, and the writings of Apollinaire. Looking for traces of the new spirit in the Brazilian avant-garde is our goal.
