Description
Summary:This article aims to analyze paradidical books of chemistry that address the content of radioactivity, evidencing how authors explore the transversal themes and the history of science. In order to evaluate and analyze the materials found, a table was prepared in accordance with the requirements described in the National Guide to Textbooks (PNLD) of 2018, prioritizing aspects that define the characteristics of a books paradidactic according to the literature and some assumptions presented in the works of Munakata (1997), Laguna (2001), Assis, Teixeira (2005) and Beneti (2008). From the analysis, one of the advantages and disadvantages of a book has been found, for example, the way in which the contents of radioactivity are structured can induce students to construct erroneous conceptions that only harm is caused to humanity and the environment, and advantage is to be able to use it as complementary support to work on the environmental issue of nuclear waste. In the appreciation of the second book, it was observed characteristics of a paradidactic profitable for use in the classroom, as it approaches several crosscutting themes and the history of science as a human construction, contents considered relevant for the educational process.
