Thus, rural education is understood as a place where knowledge is produced based on the direct relationship with the culture that individuals establish among themselves and with the environment in which they live. From this perspective, we intend to discuss and analyze how the school curriculum addresses issues related to the demands of rural education, through an analysis of articles and theses that address this theme. To this end, research was conducted on journal portals through SciELO and BDTD, using keywords. These results indicate the need to expand the curriculum designed for the countryside that integrates and values ​​the culture and knowledge contained within this context. Keywords: Curriculum. Science Teaching.La enseñanza de las ciencias, especialmente en el contexto de las escuelas rurales, debe ser pensada desde una perspectiva de ampliación del currículo que atienda las especificidades de los sujetos que viven en el campo. De esta manera, la educación rural se entiende como un lugar donde se producen conocimientos a partir de la relación directa con la cultura que los individuos constituyen entre sí y con el entorno en el que viven. Desde esta perspectiva, nos proponemos discutir y analizar cómo el currículo escolar aborda cuestiones relacionadas con las demandas de la educación rural, a través de un análisis realizado de artículos y tesis que abordan este tema. Para ello, se realizaron búsquedas en portales de revistas a través de SciELO y BDTD, utilizando palabras clave. Tales resultados apuntan a la necesidad de una ampliación del currículum diseñado para el campo que integre y valore la cultura y los conocimientos contenidos en este contexto. Desse modo, a Educação do Campo é entendida como o lugar em que se produz o conhecimento a partir da relação direta com a cultura que os indivíduos constituem entre si e com o meio onde convivem. Nessa perspectiva, pretende-se discutir e analisar de que maneira o currículo escolar aborda as questões relacionadas às demandas da educação do campo, através de uma análise realizada em artigos e teses que abordam essa temática. Para isso, realizamos uma revisão bibliográfica.
