| Sumario: | When it comes to the press, the first things that come to mind are information and communication. In fact, communication and history intertwine and walk embraced since the prelude to human existence, whether through speech, images, texts, print, and more recently, digital media. As a means of communication, the press is responsible for bringing information and cultural content to an immeasurable number of people. This work aims to analyze the notebook supply of Saturday, of the newspaper Correio do Povo, from Porto Alegre / RS, based on the methodology proposed by Violette Morin. In this way, it is intended to quantify, by means of information units, which cultural content was published by the journal in 1974, realizing its influence on the issues that turned to the intellectual elite of Rio Grande do Sul. |
