Descripción
Sumario:This article aims to present points of approximation and distance about the concept of hospitality between Kant end Pope Francis, in the light, respectively, of the texts, Zum ewigen Frieden and Fratelli Tutti. The reflection is articulated in three moments: (1) to anzlyze the right of cosmopolitan hospitality, in Kant, as a visiting right and not just as a moral or philanthropic precept; (2) to undertand hospitality, according to Pope Francis, as na atitude of listening, welcoming and closeness to the other who arrives, presents himself and hopes not to be mistreated and to be welcomed; (3) to make three brief considerations about the possible palpitating tensions from and between Kant and Pope Francis: (a) the complexity of the concept of hospitality; (b) the relevance of the inviolable dignity of the human being; (c) from right of cosmopolitan hospitality to the opening of horizons without borders, aiming at the construction of a cosmopolitan society.
