| Resumo: | In 2006, the Puro Engenho Program was created, to formalize family agro-industries of sugarcane derivatives in Santo Antônio da Patrulha-RS and region, and aid in the development of activities with higher quality and income generation. Participated in the program EMATER-RS/ASCAR, Union of Rural Workers, Municipal Secretariat of Agriculture and Environment, SEBRAE, Bank of Brazil, and FURG, through its Santo Antônio da Patrulha Campus. A group of families of small producers were invited by the entities operating in the municipality at that time, and they participated in meetings for information and organization. Subsequently, these families were provided with floor plans for the adaptation of agro-industries, courses on Good Manufacturing Practices, assistance in obtaining sanitary, and environmental permits and PPCI, workshops in the areas of Agribusiness Management, soil analysis, physical-chemical, microbiological and waste pesticides analysis in manufactured food products, consultancies in the production and development of new products, and assistance in the search for new markets. Twenty-two agroindustries producing sugarcane derivatives were legalized, in addition to 12 family agroindustries of other products that were inserted later. Formalization ensured product appreciation and a greater guarantee of commercialization. New markets were also reached, such as fairs, PNAE, PAA and private markets. |
