| Sumario: | The article proposes a discussion on public policies of Science, Technology and Innovation (ST&I) of Mercosur and integration with ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), demonstrating the contributions to the economic, social and environmental development of the region and its innovative character to promote sustainability related to the economy, science, technology and environment. It reports on the implementation of policies related to Mercosur, the execution of agreements between the countries of the region, which is of paramount importance for economic growth, and the promotion of the region in ST&I. It reports the trajectory of creation and its main characteristics, outlining a timeline with the definition of its main objective and the social and economic themes. The treaty focuses on tax reduction, logistics optimization, and regional and international development. Currently, there are specialized commissions, delegate political and climate agendas and the implementation of ESG in commerce and industry, aiming to optimize their internal processes and profitability in South America. |
