Sumario:Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) are among the most complex due to the fact they contain many materials in their composition, such as metals, polymers, ceramics and composites, and the various metals contained in such equipment may cause negative health and environmental impacts. The WEEE is the fastest growing waste type worldwide and in Brazil, with predictions that this continue occurring due to factors such as the most innovative equipment design that occurs constantly. Within this context, if the products were designed based on guidelines such as the ecodesign tool, the equipments would be less impactful throughout your life, since this tool considers all the stages of the life cycle of the product, it means, since the inception of the concept, the choice of materials to be used in manufacturing, to the end of your life as recycling.
