Descrição
Resumo:The knowledge of the Historical Centers is only possible after a systematic and interdisciplinary study able to explain, in becoming historical, the changes and transformations of the physical space in connection with the economic, political, social and cultural coordinates in those that lived, and they live, its residents. The presented method constitutes the development of an investigation that culminated with the typological characterization of the colonial Camaguey's residential repertoire. It is structured through phases supported on the general method of scientific knowledge. These phases allow combining traditional research procedures with the dynamism and reliability of automation. The first phase (manual) constitutes the methodological basis on which the general periodization, the initial sample and the work indicators derived from it are determined. The second phase (automated) makes it possible to expand, process statistically and extend the experiment in all areas of the historic center. The result guarantees a high precision on the behavior of the Camaguey's housing typology throughout the colonial period.
