| Sumario: | The present article aims to expose a little of the trajectory of Maria Firmina dos Reis in the Maranhense press, in which she actively collaborated with short stories, poems, riddles, etc. To do so, the work was based primarily on Barbosa (2007), Nadaf (2002), Souza (2020), and Zin (2019), and is divided into three parts, whose focuses are to demonstrate the relationship between literature and newspapers, contextualize how the press worked in Maranhão, and arrive at the contributions given by Maria Firmina to the local press. |
