Sumario:The purpose of this article is to carry out a bibliographic review of the environmental feasibility study for the implementation of solar panels for the municipality of the Montecristi canton, for which it was based on a qualitative documentary research. The technique of documentary analysis of bibliographic sources with emphasis on content analysis and critical analysis. To achieve the purpose, 10 research papers/articles were consulted. It is concluded that the use of solar energy generation systems must be a key piece in the construction of a new environmental culture; that is, the use of solar energy should promote and motivate humanity to adopt better practices regarding energy consumption. The study and evaluation of environmental projects is one of the sustainable and viable solutions to the country's energy problem. the evaluation and implementation of environmental investment projects, not only from the economic-financial point of view, but also to measure their environmental impact, in order to achieve a truly sustainable development through the Leopold Matrix.
