Descripción
Sumario:The aim of the article is to analyse the mechanisms by which the Colombian state guarantees the biocultural rights of the “Raizal” ethnic community. It is qualitative research, descriptive in scope, framed in the phenomenological method in which the main components of the group’s cultural identity and the environmental conflicts associated with the territory and the conditions for access to information to protect their biocultural rights. It is concluded that there has been an important normative and jurisprudential development for the protection of the biocultural rights of the “Raizal” ethnic community, but that difficulties persist in accessing the information required to exercise the constitutional mechanisms available for the protection of collective rights and the environment.
