| Sumario: | The environmental crisis is already the main problem facing humanity. We recognize that several sectors of society, including the field of Education, are mobilized to try to understand and face this crisis. In a special way, we highlight that there is little literature on educational processes involving environmental themes in social contexts directly involved with struggles against social and environmental injustices. In this context, we carried out an investigation that aimed to identify and analyze understandings on environmental issues that are developed by teachers who work in a rural school located in an MST settlement in the southern region of Minas Gerais. The results suggest that teachers develop speeches that link local social and environmental problems with macro socioeconomic aspects. |
